Content and revenue protection specialist Friend MTS has revealed an agreement with Akamai, the intelligent edge platform for securing and delivering digital experiences, to join the company’s Media Technology Partner Programme (MTPP). By combining forces, Friend MTS will integrate its ASiD watermarking technology with Akamai’s Stream Revocation service to enable near-instantaneous termination of streams to devices which have been identified as the source of restreaming piracy.
Akamai customers who are delivering their premium content over the Akamai Intelligent Edge Platform can utilise Friend MTS’ ASiD technology, the most widely deployed and actively-used subscriber watermarking in the world, in order to stop content theft in minutes.
